about elle
Elle Kurata is an award-winning producer whose independent work involves documentary and narrative storytelling. After graduating UC Berkeley and living in Japan, she lived in Washington D.C. to work on advocacy issues. Her background in social and racial justice informs her approach to production.
She worked at award-winning Enfranchisement Productions, a creative agency that specialized in political and nonprofit content creation. There, Elle produced Hulu's "TAAF Heritage Heroes", the innovative, hour-long special featured six short documentary films, two musical performances, and a studio shoot.
She has been freelance producing and creative consulting for the past year. Her projects range from narrative films with up-and-coming directors to character-based documentaries. She runs a monthly gathering in NYC for filmmakers, which you are invited to!
She is available for work as a creative consultant, UPM, line producer, and producer.
